Corporations manipulated CO2 balances, and deceiving consumers was too easy thanks to AI. Once fooled by glossy marketing campaigns, we began to rebel in the 2030s. Science had long since proven that many of these promises relied on questionable carbon compensation models.
2040 stands as a warning, responsibility cannot be delegated. Sustainability must not remain a marketing trick. Every purchase matters, every investment affects ecosystems. Greenwashing showed how easily illusions can be sold — and how powerful people can be in seeing through them.
